Kelly Erin Hannon (built-in May i, 1986)[1] is a fictional character from the U.S. comedy telly series The Office, played by Ellie Kemper. She is the optimistic office receptionist for the Scranton co-operative of Dunder Mifflin, a position previously held by Pam Beesly before she quit to go work for the Michael Scott Newspaper Visitor. She is an original graphic symbol, and has no counterpart in the original British version of the series.

Season 5 [edit]

Subsequently Pam quits her chore to piece of work at the Michael Scott Newspaper Company, VP Charles Miner hires Erin as the new receptionist. She ends upwards bonding with Pete Miller, a new customer service representative at the Scranton co-operative, and they continue to grow closer while Andy is away on his gunkhole trip. Upon Andy's return, Erin breaks up with Andy.

In the serial finale, Erin reunites with her nativity parents, who had seen the documentary and showed up at a Q&A forum with the office members. It is implied that she is still dating Pete, every bit they are shown dancing at Dwight and Angela's wedding.

Kemper described herself as a "huge fan" of the show and was excited to exist cast.[ii] In an interview with The A.5. Club, Kemper revealed that she was initially slated to announced in only 4 episodes of the fifth flavour; yet, her character was ultimately expanded, and Kemper was promoted equally a main cast member for the 6th season. Kemper said her audience had a very dissimilar graphic symbol, a sarcastic "directly man—grounded, sees through it all",[3] more in line with the rest of the bandage. Critics and fans accept commented on Kemper'southward addition to the show mostly positively. Joshua Ostroff of Centre Weekly described Erin as one of the best new television characters of the 2008–2009 season and said, "Erin's high-grade adorability, up-for-annihilation attitude and sheer niceness is unlike anyone else in the office, calculation a welcome new wrinkle for next flavor."[8] Andy Shaw of TV Provender said she "adds some freshness to the cast"[9] and Josh McAuliffe of The Times-Tribune in Scranton, Pennsylvania, said he liked Erin's "cheerful, appealingly goofy personality".[10]
